Obama has settled on a plan of deception about Bain

Yesterday, at a speech in Youngstown, Ohio, Vice President Joe Biden continued the story of Mitt Romney and Bain Capital.  As I've said before, I think the Obama campaign has this story plotted out to have a beginning, middle and then crescendo in late October.

Obama's ego is his enemy

I was shocked during the GOP primaries when Newt Gingrich declared, "I'm going to be the nominee." He wasn't asking voters, he was telling them. That statement said a lot about Newt and why he was destined to lose.

Growing pessimism on the economy signals trouble for Obama

Carter makes a valid point about some of the economic metrics and the outcome of the election. Carter pushed the threshold for unemployment at 8.4 percent as what would signal Obama’s demise.  There is no indication that economic growth is going to produce the jobs needed to achieve the 7.9 percent that Carter says would herald an Obama reelection. Obama’s only chance of reaching that number is if workers continue to drop out of the workforce, therefore reducing the unemployment rate. Does that count?

Romney's political problems with his Bain history will be managed, not solved

The Obama campaign has opened an effective attack on Mitt Romney via Bain Capital. I assume this is part of a plan in which it has a story to tell about Bain over the next few months and this ad is only the first part of the first chapter on Romney and Bain.
