The BGR team has substantial expertise with regard to helping corporations understand, react to and strategize about international trade policies. This occurs through our efforts to assist clients as the U.S. government pursues comprehensive free trade agreements on a bilateral basis to expand opportunities for American workers, farmers, manufacturers, consumers and ranchers while also helping other nations enhance their trading relationship with the United States in order to spur development.
To compete effectively in today’s global business arena it is imperative that U.S. companies have an advocate when seeking new markets and also have the means to appeal to the federal government to address trade conflicts, trade barriers and unfair practices affecting competition. BGR works with clients to coordinate outreach and advocacy to many important agencies such as the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, U.S. Department of Commerce, Export-Import Bank, the Small Business Administration and the Overseas Private Investment Corporation. In addition, we work to develop support for clients before key congressional committees such as Senate Finance and House Ways and Means.
