From 2005 – 2006, Eric worked as the Chief of Staff to the Secretary of the Department of Energy (DOE), Samuel Bodman. As Chief of Staff, Eric managed the day-to-day operations of the 100,000-employee agency, oversaw the Department’s efforts with Members of Congress and was the liaison between the Department and energy stakeholders. Eric also served as the senior counselor to Secretary Bodman and coordinated the development of energy policy within the Department and with the White House. In this capacity, Eric was instrumental in the development of President George W. Bush’s Advanced Energy Initiative. |
